Dr. Staci Perryman-Clark is associate director of the Office of Faculty Development, associate professor of English, and Director of First-Year Writing at Western Michigan University.
Her research interests include culturally relevant pedagogy, language rights, and writing program administration. She is the author of Afrocentric Teacher-Research: Rethinking Appropriateness and Inclusion, and the Co-editor (with David E. Kirkland and Austin Jackson) of Students' Right to Their Own Language: A Critical Sourcebook. She was the 2015 recipient of the College of Arts and Sciences Faculty Achievement Award for Excellence in Research, Scholarship and Creative Activities.
