Readings in English (ENGL 5980) and Independent Research Courses (ENGL 7100)

Students may sign up for ONLY four (4) hours of Directed Reading, ENGL 5980 during the entire duration of their program.  On the other hand, students are not limited as to the number of ENGL 7100 course hours they can take.

In order to arrange either an ENGL 5980 or 7100 course, a student must have the permission of an instructor who will assist the student in arriving at a written description of the course of study and an appropriate number of credit hours (1-4), and will supervise and evaluate the student’s work.  Then the student should meet with the Graduate Director to fill out the appropriate forms.
