Departmental Information

The Department of English administrative offices are located on the 6th Floor of Sprau Tower.   The hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm (for a copy of the WMU academic calendar, including times the university is closed, go to www.wmich.edu/registrar/calendar.html).  The office telephone number is (269) 387-2572; the fax number is (269) 387-2562; and the department website is located at www.wmich.edu/english.

Directions to Sprau Tower:

From I-94 Eastbound:  At exit #74, turn north onto U.S. 131, go 2.8 miles, follow the directions listed below for U.S. 131.

From I-94 Westbound: At exit #74, turn north onto U.S. 131, go 2.8 miles, follow the directions listed below for U.S. 131.

From U.S. 131: At exit #36, turn east onto Stadium Drive. Drive approximately 2 miles, to the intersection of Stadium and Howard; turn left onto Howard Street. Cross the railroad tracks, and make an immediate right turn onto Western Avenue; at the stop sign, turn left onto West Michigan Avenue.  At the stop sign, make a right and proceed up to the parking ramp. Sprau Tower is located just due northeast of the ramp, next to the large reflecting pool.  Visitor parking is $.25 per 10 minutes, and a change machine is located near the elevator in the northeast corner of the structure.
