
Lori Bobbitt Waddles earned the B.A. cum laude from WMU's Lee Honors College in 1985, with dual majors in psychology and English. She earned her J.D. in 1988 from the Detroit College of Law. Currently Assistant General Counsel for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan, Ms. Waddles also has held positions as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Detroit; as Commercial Litigator for Howard & Howard Attorneys, P.C.; and as Law Clerk for then-Associate Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court Dennis W. Archer, now Mayor of Detroit. In 1993 she was appointed to the WMU Board of Trustees by Governor Engler, and in 1998 she was elected by her fellow Trustees as Chair of the WMU Board.
