S.T.E.P. Program

Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) are the driving forces for innovation that have improved the social and economic well-being of society and its citizens. STEM careers are exciting and interesting, but the path to obtaining a bachelor's degree in engineering and applied sciences is challenging. That is why the College of Engineering and Applied, in collaboration with the Division of Student Affairs, has implemented the STEP program to help you develop the academic skills and habits, life skills, and connection to CEAS and WMU so you can successfully complete your studies and become engineers and applied scientists.

Some of the programs in the STEP project include Engineering Peer Mentor, Alumni Mentoring, Summer Bridge Program, Transfer Student Host, and Career Preparation. Take advantage of the resources provided by STEP to increase your chance of success at Western Michigan University.
