Study Abroad in China
ENGR 3400 Engineering Global Practices in Non-Western Countries is a 3-credit course for undergraduate and graduate students of all majors. It provides a unique opportunity to obtain global engineering and science experience in contemporary China. Fifteen or more students will be selected for the program.

Program Fee: $2,275 + international airfare
Includes tuition for 3 credits, visa and insurance. Sichuan University will cover all local expenses for two weeks, including hotels, meals and transportation in China plus airfare from Beijing or Shanghai to Chengdu.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Visit Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding
Participants study at the prestigious Sichuan University in China. Students will visit major historical and industrial sites as well as high-tech research institutes in Chengdu. Field trips with Chinese students at Sichuan University include a tour of engineering labs, Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding
, Sanxingdui Museum (Three-Star Piles Museum, 7000 BC), Jinli Ancient Street
, Du Fu Thatched Cottage (712 AD), Wide and Narrow Alleys
in Chengdu. Students also will have the chance to experience Chinese folk dance, music and Chinese arts.
China is the world's most populous country, home to about 1.3 billion people.China is the world's largest merchandise trader, with combined exports and imports worth US $4,303 billion. Chengdu has a total population of 10.44 million. Sichuan University is one of China’s top universities.
