Student Projects

The Engineering Design Center for Service Learning (EDCSL) sponsors a number of types of projects for engineering and education students to interact and be of service to the local Kalamazoo community.   These projects include instructional materials designed for use in K-12 classrooms as a part of the ENGR 1010 Introduction to Engineering course and the Service Learning Engineering Design course sequence (ENGR 2020, 3030, and 4040).   Other EDCSL projects are sponsored through senior design courses in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences.  The EDCSL works with several different partners such as the Kalamazoo area Boys and Girls Club and Kalamazoo Public Schools to provide content, instruction, and volunteers to work with after-school programs.   Examples of past projects are found below
