Student teams working on class-related projects in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences may apply for work space in the Multidisciplinary Student Project Laboratory, located in room F212 Parkview Campus. This space provides space for students to meet and work on their projects and store project related materials. An array of small hand tools, including drills, saws, wrenches, palm sanders, and other items are available for students to use during laboratory open hours. Open hours are posted outside on the door. A graduate teaching assistant (TA) is available during open hours to assist students with using unfamiliar tools.
Students working on semester-long projects should apply for a permanent assigned space to use in room F212, as outlined below. Students needing to use the Multidisciplinary Student Project Laboratory on only a few occasions during a semester can apply for a one-day pass as needed. The TA monitoring the room has information available for how students can obtain a one-day pass.
All students using room F212 are expected to sign-in and sign out; have signed and returned the Liability and Waiver form; and are familiar with General Shop Safety rules. Students using room F212 are expected to follow directions from the TA monitor, and will keep any work space they use in room F212 in a neat and orderly fashion.
