
Moving quiz content between sections is an easy three step process that takes less than 5 minutes.
You have the option of exporting just the quiz database (questions only) or your actual quiz. The latter will export your quizzes intact, but include only the questions in each quiz, not necessarily all the questions in your database.
- From the Build Tab, click on the Assessments link under Course Tools.
- Click the box next to each quiz you want to move. To move all the quizzes, click the box next to "Title".
- Click the Export button at the bottom of the page.
- When prompted, save your quizzes to a file (e.g. quizzesWMU1010.zip). This will save the file to your Class Files area. Ignore the popup messages.
- Press the Return button after the export has finished.
- Continue to Step 2.
- From the Build Tab, click on the Assessments link under Course Tools.
- Click the "Go to Question Database" button at the time.
- Click on "Question View" at the top right.
- Make sure that ALL the questions are showing, not just the first 10 or 20 by using the paging options at the bottom.
- Click the box next to "Title" to select all the questions.
- Click the Export button at the bottom of the page.
Move your quiz export file to My Files to easy access it from any other section you own.
- Click on the File Manager link under Designer Tools.
- Click the action link next to the name of the quiz export file and select "Move".
- At the next screen, click on the "My Files" icon.
- Click on the "My E-learing" link to return to the E-learning class list.
- Click on the link to your new section. Add the Assessment tool if necessary.
- From the build tab, click on the Manage Course link under Designer Tools.
- At the next page, cick the "Import" link.
- Click the "My Files" icon.
- Click the radio button next to the quiz export file moved in Step 2.
- Click the OK button.
