Walter Burt is an Associate Professor of Educational Leadership in the Educational Leadership, Research and Technology Department, College of Education and Human Development at Western Michigan University. He currently serves as the Interim Dean of the College. Dr. Burt earned his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at The University of Michigan and has an M.A. from Eastern Michigan University and a B.S. from Alcorn State University. Prior to joining WMU, Dr. Burt served in numerous roles in K-12 education, including school superintendent, and was responsible for leading school reform initiatives in the states of Connecticut and New Jersey.
