ASSIGNMENT VII

TaskStream Lesson Plan 2, using Excel (Module #7 in Blackboard Learning System)

Using TaskStream, you will write a lesson plan for an elementary classroom that includes a data collection activity for a specific concept within your Project topic, using Microsoft Excel as a collection-and-reporting tool.

Each member of your team will create a different Lesson Plan. You will need to discuss in lab and post in Blog which team member will work on which Lesson Plan. If two team members turn in a lesson plan with the same concept, neither will get points for this assignment.

Requirements for this lesson plan are:

  • a Student activity that involves collection of data
  • a data collection sheet created by you and attached to your lesson plan under Instructional Materials.
  • the classroom teacher (you) showing students how to use Excel -- inputting data and creating a graph
  • a Student Sample of Excel spreadsheet and graph attached under Student Sample
  • Michigan Grade Level Content Expectations
  • ISTE: National Educational Technology Standards for Students: The Next Generation
  • assessment criteria for the lesson activity on a rubric developed in the Rubric Wizard and attached to the lesson plan.

SUBMITTING ASSIGNMENT : Once your lesson plan is completed and you have attached (a) a sample student product, (b) rubric, (c) data collection handout, and (d) Standards (Michigan Grade Level Content Expectations and the ISTE: National Educational Technology Standards for Students: The Next Generation), it is turned in through Taskstream. Please follow these steps:

1. Be sure that you have created lesson plan, using TS Basic template, and ALL attachments (i.e. rubric, student sample, data collection sheet, etc.)
