- Professor Joseph Kelemen Retires

On Thursday, December 6th the ECE Department hosted a Retirement Celebration and Holiday Open House for Professor Kelemen.
Professor Kelemen has been an outstanding instructor and mentor for our students and an excellent role model for our faculty and staff for 41 years here at Western Michigan University. He will be missed.

On Tuesday, November 6th, the ECE Department hosted a meet and greet for our new students.
A continental breakfast was provided and students were able to meet with faculty and other students in the program. See Pictures here.

Fall 07 Pictures Here - 2007 Presidential Scholarship Award
Seniors are nominated for the Presidential Scholar award by faculty members. They are selected on the basis of their general academic excellence, academic and/or artistic excellence in their major and intellectual and/or artistic promise. Phillip Warner received the award for the ECE Department. He has many acheivements including studying abroad in China and being a member of Goldenkey, Tau Beta Pi, and Eta Kappa Nu.
- ECE Prof in a Bunny Suit!

The HKN fund-raiser was a huge sucess. HKN would like to thank the ECE faculty that volunteered to wear a bunny suit for the day and we would also like to thank all those who made donations!
Dr. Tanner was our big winner, and he wore the bunny suit the whole day on the third of April. You can see a larger picture of him and the participants by clicking the smaller one to the left.
We look forward to running the contest again next year!

- 40th Senior Design Conference

The conference will be held from 9AM to 2:30PM on Tuesday, April 17th, 2007. There are many exciting projects this semester.

- Spring 2007 Commencement

The Spring 2007 Commencement will be at 3PM on Saturday, April 28th at Miller Auditorium.
Following the ceremony, at 4:30PM, the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences will be hosting a reception in its building entrance.
