2nd Edition Workshop on Courses 1-4 for 1st Edition Users - Kalamazoo, MI
This workshop will provide an overview of the 2nd Edition of Core-Plus Mathematics Courses 1-4. The focus will be on improvements in the 2nd Edition. Hands-on experience with the curriculum materials and the new CPMP-Tools public domain software will be provided.

Pedagogy Institute - Aurora, CO (Denver area)
This 3-day workshop is for Experienced CPMP Users and will focus on improving students' mathematical knowledge. The goals of the institute are to consider the following questions:
  • What role does lesson planning play in promoting student understanding?
  • How do teacher instructional decisions influence student understanding?
  • How can teachers uncover and enhance student thinking?

Videotaped excerpts of a lesson planning session and the teaching of that lesson will be used to stimulate discussions. An opportunity for participants to plan a lesson for their own class use will be provided.

This institute is open to Core-Plus Mathematics teachers who have taught at least two different courses of the curriculum.

2008 CPMP Course-Specific Implementation Workshops
The 2nd edition of Core-Plus Mathematics Courses 1-3 will be available for use with students in Fall 2008. The 2nd edition is substantially different from the first edition. Thus, we will be offering different workshops for each edition. Dates and locations are listed below.
Costs
$450 for week workshops
Fees include lunch each day.

Lodging Information
Participants are responsible for their own lodging arrangements and costs. Hotel information and special rates will be included in the confirmation letter sent immediately upon receipt of your application and payment.
Teachers from around the nation working together at an annual CPMP Implementation Workshop.
