Welcome to the Core-Plus Mathematics
Parent Support Website
The Core-Plus Mathematics Project (CPMP), with funding from
the National Science Foundation, has developed a new four-year
integrated mathematics program for high schools. The program
is published under the title Contemporary Mathematics in Context.
The problem-based curriculum is designed to prepare students
for success in college, in careers, and in daily life in contemporary
society. It replaces the traditional Algebra-Geometry-Advanced
Algebra/Trigonometry-Precalculus sequence.
This site is intended for parents and other caregivers who want
to learn more about the Core-Plus Mathematics program. The site
is also
intended
for those who want to assist students in their learning of mathematics.
