WORKSHOPS AND SUPPORT HELP FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS

The Graduate College offers many workshops throughout the year to aid graduate students in the development and successful completion of their research projects. From formatting to practical writing advice to grant writing skills, the Graduate College is committed to student success. Check the Graduate College website for workshop topics, dates, and times.
The Graduate College also offers online support for many graduate student activities. For example, online tutorials are available for thesis formatting and most forms can be obtained via the Graduate College website. The Graduate College also offers significant writing support through its writing center.
The Graduate Center for Writing and Proposal Development assists graduate students in writing doctoral dissertations and grant proposals for external funding by conducting quality-circle reviews of these documents and by providing a comprehensive program of workshops structured to enhance students' success in the attainment of their doctoral degrees.
Derived from an innovative concept, The Graduate Center for Writing and Proposal Development has been in existence since May 2001. Students interested in learning more about the center and its functions are encouraged to contact the center director, Dr. Marianne Di Pierro by telephone at 616-387-8249 or by email at marianne.dipierro@wmich.edu.
