Advising and the Permanent Program

Each master’s degree student in communication must prepare a tentative program of study in consultation with the graduate director. This program may be reviewed and revised when necessary. When the program is finalized, this document serves as the basis for the preparation of the student’s permanent program and application for candidacy. Advising is the key component to putting together your Permanent Program. It is important to begin planning this program in the first semester, and I urge you to make an advising appointment with me in October or November. Please call the department at (616) 387-3130 for an appointment. I also will advise at the East Beltline campus in Grand Rapids. Please call the Grand Rapids Regional Center at (616) 771-9470 to make an appointment.
