What's in a name?

Winter has changed to Spring, at least according to the recent contract agreement between the WMU faulty and administration. Under the new contract the current system of naming semesters has been altered effective immediately. Fall semester will retain its name while Winter semester will now be known as Spring semester. The former Spring and Summer sessions will be termed Summer I and Summer II, respectively. These changes in terminology align Western Michigan University with the terminology used by most major universities across the nation. In this newsletter all references to specific semesters follow this new terminology.
