One class (or three hours of electives) in Communication selected from upper-level (3000) or higher courses in the school.
All course prerequisites must be met to enroll in upper-level courses. A course and its prerequisites cannot be taken at the same time .
Grade requirement: A minimum grade of “C” is required in all courses to be applied toward the minor.
The School prohibits students from taking a class more than twice for credit.
It is recommended that students electing this minor become actively involved in university and secondary education extracurricular activities in speech and communication.
Minors should recognize that registration in some communication elective courses may be limited to declared majors for whom those courses are required.
Secondary Communication Education minors at WMU earn an endorsement in Speech (BD). You must pass the MTTC Test #04 (Speech ).
