The changing technology in broadcasting
COM 357 and COM 457
In the past 18 years I have had the opportunity to work in many areas of production, providing me with a broad range of production skills. These opportunities include; videographer/associate producer for network sports productions with ABC, NBC and ESPN, producer/editor for corporate productions with Dow Chemical, director of television newscasts with WWTV, broadcast department manager/division manager/producer/editor for J.W. Messner Advertising, as well as owning my own film and video production company.
Currently, I am the owner of Trade Communications, an interactive film and video production company. This company has the latest technology for production, post-production, CD-Rom, DVD etc. Equipment includes:
*State-of-the-art digital video non-linear editing system, capable of producing the highest quality digital film and video output for commercial, industrial or web productions. My studio uses all the latest software such as Adobe After Effects, Boris FX, Puffin Designs Commotion, Media Cleaner Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe TextureMaker, Adobe Go Live, Macromedia Dreamweaver, and Macromedia Flash to name a few.
*State-of-the-art digital audio studio. Capable of producing the highest quality digital audio productions.
*DGS (Digital Generation Systems). This system gives me the capacity to transmit, digitally, any TV or radio commercial to any station in the country (or world) within hours, giving advertisers the ability to make last minute changes. This is the only system in Michigan..outside of Detroit.
