Diana Berkshire Hearit (M.A., 1991, Purdue University) is an Instructor of Communication at Western Michigan University. Berkshire-Hearit teaches courses in public relations and organizational discourse, interviewing, and public speaking. Her research interest is on whistle blowing from a rhetorical perspective rather than the current trend of organizational, sociological, legal, and management studies. Berkshire-Hearit is a professional writer, having written for a variety of corporate and non-profit organizations. She served as a development director for the Schools of Engineering at Purdue University, and currently writes professionally at WMU in the research office. Hearit has been a member and conference presenter at the National Communication Association and the Central States Communication Association.
