Personal
statement
for FVM major applicants
The personal statement should be typewritten,
2-4 pages long and should respond to the following:
- What are your plans? Be specific about what you want
to do with the knowledge and training gained from this
major.
What are your entry level and long term goals, advanced
study plans, and job interests? (e.g. production management,
creative
designer, technical, craft, performance, record keeping.)
- What
media-related work activities and/or employment experience
have you had that gives you background, interest, and
skills in this major area?
- Why do you feel that you are
well suited to this major? Why do you think you can do
well in it? What primary
skill do you possess that makes you stand out? What
is your level
of commitment and intensity of interest?
