Steve Rhodes here, Director of the School of Communication.
Although you are receiving this e-mail in February, it is really our January 2009 issue of our e-newsletter. If you are like me and keeping “score,” our last issue went out in November, then we decided not to put out a December issue because of the holidays.
As we catch up, watch for our February issue in the coming weeks—we’ll feature our new director, Dr. Leigh Ford, in the February issue.
***I’d like to start this issue by thanking Dr. Joe Kayany for the great job he did in 2008 getting this e-newsletter started. Without Joe’s dedication and hard work, we would not have this great way of keeping you informed about your alma mater. Joe is now helping me take over his role as editor of our e-newsletter -- a role I will assume as Director Emeritus. Joe is doing a great job as teacher but I am a slow learner -- so -- if there are problems with the formatting of this e-newsletter or problems with any of the links -- the problems rest with the student, not the teacher J !
I’d also like to thank Joe for all of the great work he has done for the past 10 years creating and maintaining the School of Communication website (www.wmich.edu/communication). Joe has also placed back issues of our e-newsletter on our website – to see these visit
