The Clifford Center
The Clifford Center is a research and consultation center dedicated to bringing together the latest in communication research, engaged scholarship, and new media technologies, with a community outreach focus for non-profit organizations and organizations that support under-represented groups and individuals.
A state-of-the-art facility for the teaching, research, and creative activities support related directly to new media studies: film, video, audio, multi-media, journalismn, and Internet. The Clifford Center has a Multimedia auditorium, a broadcast production lab with digital video and audio capability, labs for imaging, graphics and communication design, a lab for advertising and public relations design and media research, and a multimedia teleconference center for distance education.
Its mission is to study, discover, integrate, and apply innovative approaches to communication and media applications through research, production, evaluation, and consultation that add value to the field of communication and provide practical solutions to communication problems. The Center serves as a resource center for digital video material, proves resources for communication education, activism, research, consulting, and media production. It also provides an environment for undergraduate and graduate students to further their professional development through experiential-based learning.
