TLES

Scholarships

There are a number of sources of financial aid available to graduate students enrolled in Teaching, Learning, and Educational Studies programs.

Graduate assistantships and doctoral associateships within TLES provide opportunities to gain clinical, teaching, research, and/or program development experience while also meeting financial needs.

Eligibility: Prior to placing an application, the student must be regularly admitted to a master's or doctoral degree program and be in good academic standing at WMU. Open to U.S. and international students.

Application: Complete application and submit along with a resume (or c.v.).

Deadline: Submit by February 15 for the Fall semester.

Conditions: Up to twenty hours of work per week in the department.

Availability: Typically offered Fall/Spring semesters.

College of Education and Human Development Scholarships:

The College of Education and Human Development has built a strong tradition of providing scholarship assistance to its students. An award from the College of Education and Human Development's scholarship program reduces the need for the recipients to work outside of class and therefore enables them to focus more fully on their studies. Through scholarships, more students will become teachers, school administrators and counselors, and fill other critical positions in our educational system. It is especially rewarding to see the donors meet with the recipients who see from the beginning of their careers the impact they can have on others lives through leadership, service, and giving support to others.
