Reinstatment Procedures

A lapsed Continuing/Permanent certificate or Full Vocational Authorization may be reinstated for an applicant who presents evidence of having met either of the following credit requirements:  an approved master's degree or higher degree from an approved teacher education institution; OR the completion, following the lapse of the Permanent or Continuing certificate or Full Vocational Authorization, of six credit hours of satisfactory college credit through an approved teacher education institution.  In addition, a lapsed Continuing/Permanent certificate or Full Vocational Authorization may be reinstated provisionally for one year on the request of a public or private school employer willing to employ and sponsor the suspended certificate holder for one year.
