Special Education Master of Arts Programs
Apply for the Master of Arts in the Special Education program
Graduate applicants may apply for admission at any time.
- Apply to the Graduate College
- Submit one set of official transcripts to the Office of Admissions
- Submit your teaching certificate/endorsement(s), resume, and letter outlining your experiences and goals, department application
and two reference forms to the Department of Special Education and Literacy Studies.
Applications are evaluated on:
- Undergraduate GPA
- Special education experience
- Congruence of goals and requested program option
- Writing skills
- Graduate College Reference Form

Graduate Teaching Assistant Opportunities
The Department of Special Education and Literacy Studies typically hires 3-4 teaching assistants to assist faculty with teaching during the fall and spring semesters. Graduate students wishing to be considered for one of these positions should send a letter of interest and a resume to the chair.
