Community Health Education

Program Minor

Community Health Education minors are required to complete a core curriculum consisting of a minimum of 25 credits of required Girl Studyinghealth education content and process courses and 5 cognate courses. Students can complete courses associated with the minor over a 2-year period.

The Community Health Education minor compliments a variety of other major programs at WMU. In particular, the CHE minor can provide essential community planning, implementing, and organizing skills for students pursuing degrees in nursing, social work, exercise science, sociology, psychology, health and human services, family studies, business management, to name a few. A Community Health Education minor would be an excellent fit if you are planning to do anything that involves creating and delivering programs designed to impact the health of populations.
