All students who are accepted into the Graduate Athletic Training
Program are automatically provided with an assistantship. All assistantships pay $16,700 for 2 years. Openings are available in: WMU athletics, WMU Sports Medicine Clinic and area high schools. Although you may request a particular
assistantship, placements are determined by the graduate athletic training
selection committee.
Assistantships:
1. Students will be paid bi-weekly
(18 pay periods total for the fall and spring semesters and 4 pay periods for the summer I session).
2. Students are responsible for tuition.
3. All out-of-state students can apply for in-state residency (for lower tuition costs) after residing in Michigan for one year. Applications and instructions will be provided upon acceptance.
4. Student fees, books and health insurance are the sole responsibility of the student.
