

The Dietetics Advisory Board (DAB) serves as a resource for the dietetics undergraduate program.
Specifically, the DAB will:
Assist in curriculum articulation and development.
Assist students in their professional development.
Assist faculty in maintaining high quality and competitive programs.
1. Assist in the development of partnerships with community agencies, organizations and corporations to establish internship and employment opportunities for students.
2. Review and strengthen the existing field experience and internship process.
3. Participate in "shadowing" experiences and act as mentors.
4. Keep faculty informed about current issues and trends in dietetics so as to incorporate these into the curriculum.
5. Participate in the Dietetics Program as occasional speakers and guest lecturers.
6. Provide a forum to voice students' concerns about the program.
7. Compare the WMU Dietetics Program to other programs of similar size to maintain high quality.
8. Assist in identifying occasional speakers and guest lecturers for various courses.
9. Develop strategies for increasing the diversity of the program.
10. Assist with developing means of marketing the program.
