
Normal application periods for WMU’s specialist and doctoral programs in Educational Leadership are October 1st and February 1st of each academic year.
To apply to Western Michigan University for admission to the Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a concentration in CTE the student must:

1) Completed self-managed Graduate
Application Form. This form may be completed on-line.
2) Provide official transcripts from every higher education institution
you have ever attended (except WMU).
3) Take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and have the scores
sent to WMU.

1) Prepare a two to three
page typed autobiographical statement that shows a clear and
complete statement of the development of professional goals
and how these goals relate to doctoral studies in the Department
of Teaching, Learning, and Leadership (TLL).
2) Complete a Resume
of Leadership Form
3) Submit three
completed Graduate
Reference Forms
4)
Complete resume or Vita.
5) Provide official transcripts from every higher education institution
you have ever attended (except WMU).

Remember that you need to take the General GRE exam and have your scores sent prior to each application deadline. The GRE testing folks note that these tests are offered daily at various testing centers in Michigan, and it takes about two weeks for your results to be sent to the university. Also, it often takes several weeks to schedule a testing time, so do not delay.
