The Master's of Arts in Evaluation, Measurement, and Research is designed to prepare you for staff positions in evaluation, testing, or research units in schools or non-school organizations.The following requirements will lead to a master's degree in evaluation, measurement, and research:

  • Must possess an earned baccalaureate degree.

  • Must satisfy all Department and Graduate College requirement for admission and graduation.

This program prepares you for staff positions in evaluation in diverse settings. ELECTIVE COURSES

Nine hours of course work from a single department or program outside the EMR program such as sociology, psychology or other area approved by the advisor.

PORTFOLIO ASSESSMENT

During the Capstone Portfolio experience, the students will develop a portfolio that shows their ability to apply the techniques from the core courses. At least one element on the portfolio must be the report of an independent piece of inquiry for submission to either a professional journal or a conference program. Portfolios must be submitted to the program faculty three months prior to an anticipated graduation date.
