Technology coordinators in school districts are vital to the success of the use of instructional technology. The Online Graduate Certification Program (15-21 hours) will enable individuals who currently hold a position as a school technology coordinator, or who wish to obtain such a position, to expand their skills and knowledge pertaining to their leadership role in the effective use of communications and information and communications technology in schools.
While the program deals with technical issues, the focus is on curriculum, instruction, staff development, planning, and the other educational and administrative aspects in the real world life of technology coordinators.
The mission of this program is to develop the specialized knowledge and competencies required by educators who provide school or district-wide leadership pertaining to the effective instructional use of information technology. The focus of this graduate program is on the teaching, learning, and organizational issues that promote the effective use of information technology in schools.
