Western Edge

studentsThe Western Edge

The Western Edge is a strategic plan for promoting student success and keeping the quality of education offered by WMU affordable.

The Graduation Compact is one part of the Western Edge.  To complete a Graduation Compact in the College of Education and Human Development you should:

1. Confirm that you are eligible to complete a graduation compact.

2. Determine if you are in a 4, 4 1/2 or 5 year curriculum.

3. Use your curriculum guide(s), and your major and minor slips to draft a plan of all your classes from your first semester to graduation using one of the schedule planning guides. Meet with your College of Education and Human Development Advisor if you need help.

4. Meet with your major or minor advisors, if any, outside of the College of Education and Human Development
and have them sign off on the graduation compact

5. Meet with the College of Education and Human Development advisor to complete the graduation compact.

6. Meet with the College of Education and Human Development advisor every semester to make sure you're on track.
