Women's Chorus Women's Chorus is a 55-75 voice choir which specializes in repertoire for Women. Each year the ensemble performs at WMU as well as in the surrounding communities. The chorus was featured with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra in Spring 2000 performing Debussy Nocturnes. The chorus also joins the University Chorale and Collegiate Singers in the annual WMU Choral Holiday Concert and on the Homecoming Choral Showcase. The ensemble sings a wide variety of literature and takes pride in singing newly written contemporary works. In the Spring of 2002, the ensemble performed Celebremus by Ramona Luegen. The work was commissioned for Electra Women's Chorus and is being given its Michigan premier. The Women's Chorus also hosted the Michigan American Choral Directors Association Collegiate Women's Chorus Festival in April 2002.
