Choral Studies

Welcome to the WMU School of Music Choral Program

Western Michigan University's School of Music is home to a decades-long tradition of excellence in choral music.  Our eight choirs provide a range of musical experiences for our students – traditional choral repertoire, chamber music, early music, vocal jazz, opera, and large masterworks.  WMU truly is a place where singers feel dedicated, challenged, and inspired.

In addition to the Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance or Choral Music Education, we are proud to offer the Master of Music in Choral Conducting.  Our conducting students benefit from an energetic choral faculty, an abundance of podium time with multiple choirs, and ample performance opportunities.  Graduate Assistantships (that include stipends and tuition full remission or a partial discount) for Voice and Choral students are available for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Please use the links on the left side of this page to find out more about the many choral opportunities offered here at Western Michigan University.  Do not hesitate to contact us with further questions.

Sincerely,

Kimberly Dunn Adams, Director of Choral Activities
