WMU Choral Studies Alumni

Four WMU students selected for World Youth Choir
Four WMU vocalists, including one alumnus, have been selected to participate in this year's World Youth Choir summer tour. Joseph Beutel (BM '07), along with Nathaniel Adams, David Gailey, and Kathryn Rohwer, travelled to South Africa on July 9, performed throughout that country as well as in Namibia, and returned home Aug. 4.

Amanda Quist receives prestigious music fellowship
Amanda Quist (BM '00, MM '06) was recently awarded the James Mulholland Choral Music Fellowship by the American Choral Directors Association. Quist is currently working toward a doctoral degree in choral conducting at the University of North Texas, where she directs the women's chorus and is associate conductor of the Denton (Texas) Bach Choir.
