Inorganic Chemist - Tenure Track

Western Michigan University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Chemistry at Western Michigan University for Fall 2007. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry with preference given to those specializing in Inorganic Chemistry.  The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching has placed WMU among the 76 public institutions in the nation designated as research universities with high research activity.  Candidates would be expected to have a strong commitment to high quality research and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate (M.S. and Ph.D.) levels in a very active department.  The Department of Chemistry has 16 faculty members, seven staff members and sustains research funding in excess of $2.5M/yr.
