Admission Procedure for the CELCIS Program To apply to CELCIS, use your browser to print the application form, the financial form, and the health history form. If you are currently enrolled at another U.S. school, you must also complete a Transfer-In Form. On the admission requirements page, you will find the instructions to follow. The completed forms and documents should be mailed to the Admissions Coordinator. Prospective students must apply for an F-1 (student) visa if they plan to study full time in CELCIS during the academic year (September through April), or if they plan to go on to Western Michigan University. CELCIS can not change a student's visa from B-2 (visitor) to F-1 once the student is in the United States. Admission to CELCIS does not mean a student is also admitted to Western Michigan University. An application must be made directly to the Office of International Student and Scholar Services for admission to the University. Students who successfully complete the Advanced Level of CELCIS automatically qualify their English for University admission. All other students must meet University TOEFL requirements. An Institutional TOEFL is given three times a year at CELCIS, and the International TOEFL is given in Kalamazoo. Students applying to Western Michigan University must meet all other University admission requirements. If you would like to email a student currently studying in CELCIS, send us your request and we will send you contact information (celcis_info@wmich.edu). |
