Senior Research Associate
June Gothberg

June E. Gothberg, Ph.D. is Senior Research Associate at Western Michigan University. Dr. Gothberg received her Ph.D. in Evaluation, Measurement, and Research. Previously, she received her bachelor degree in special education graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors. In addition, she earned a bachelor degree in elementary education and secondary English.

Dr. Gothberg spent 10 years working in the classroom, teaching at-risk students and students with special needs. She co-developed a countywide transition program for students ages 18-26, which continues to receive exemplary post-school outcome results. In addition, she delivers numerous workshops and courses at the district, state, and national level on evidence based practices for special education, transition planning, self-determination, universal design, person centered planning, the IEP process, including student-led IEPs, data-based decision making, and program evaluation.
