Construction Engineering Outcomes

 

The program prepares students who:

• Understand and are able to apply knowledge of traditional mathematics, science, and engineering skills
• Are able to design and conduct experiments, as well as analyze and interpret data in more than one Construction Engineering discipline
• Can design systems, components and processes to meet desired needs
• Can work in design teams
• Are able to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems
• Understand professional and ethical responsibility
• Are able to communicate effectively
• Understand the impact of engineering on society
• Understand and embrace the need for life-long learning
• Have knowledge of contemporary issues
• Can use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering
• Are able to apply management topics such as economics, business, accounting, law, statistics, ethics leadership, decision and optimization methods, process analysis and design, engineering economics, engineering management, safety, and cost engineering
