Supervisor of the Year 2010

Gary L. Belleville
Student Employee Appreciation Week
Supervisor of the Year, 2009/10

Jennifer Milewski

Jennifer Milewski, Admissions Officer Admissions Department.

Jennifer was nominated by: Alicia Hamilton, David Topping, Kat Tasma and Kristin Worgess.

Following are excerpts from Jennifer's nominations:

I have grown not only as a worker, but as a student and as a person because of Jenn's ability to offer sound advice over the years. She pushes all of us to work harder, contribute to the university as much as we possibly can, and to take pride in what we do. I would truly not be the same person I am today if it was not for having Jennifer Milewski as my supervisor.

From day one, Jenn has been a fantastic resource in our office for me. She's more than a supervisor to us - Jenn is a friend, a mentor, and a boss. Even though I have only been here for 2 years, Jenn has taken the time to get to know me and make me feel welcome in our office.

I have been employed since the first semester of my Freshman year and she has been there for me. Jenn has a great amount of responsibility in the Student Ambassador Office. She is in charge of over 100 employees. She maintains a professional personal relationship with each employee. She is an important person in my development and it will prepare me for the "real world."

Jenn balances two jobs. First, she is an admissions counselor for Western and second, she is one of the supervisors for the Student Ambassador Office. I have seen her in action for both positions and she has every quality to be Supervisor of the Year. She has been there for me on a professional level always believing in the work I do. There have been many times were I have gone to her in frustration and panic because I could not solve an issue in the office. She is always there to guide me to the best solution possible, while at the same time truly knowing I could do the job, even when I did not believe in myself.
