Current Job Title:
Describe your current job:
I provide emotional support and resources to patients and their loved ones at the end of life.
What is the most rewarding and the most challenging part of your job?
Most rewarding: It's an honor that someone you don't know will allow you to be a part of their end of life journey. Most challenging: Not everyone is willing to accept help or support, even if I see that the person could benefit from it.
Which of your skills had the biggest impact on your success?
At Western I learned how I communicate and how others communicate, both verbally and non-verbally. I apply that knowledge daily both at work and in my personal life.
What advice do you have for others pursuing a career similar to yours?
Be open to where your career takes you. I never pictured myself to be where I am today, but through internships and different jobs after college I learned what I was passionate about and I was open to where that led me.
