Guest professor in Management
Bruce Ring is an independent consultant based in Detroit. He has spent more than 35 years in the accounting and consulting fields with extensive experience in transaction advisory services, strategic planning, performance management, corporate governance, enterprise risk assessment and internal control process reviews.
For the past three years, Ring has assisted a large healthcare system in its acquisitions, investments and strategic planning in preparation for the implementation of the affordable care act.
Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Ring served as an executive with Deloitte, Grant Thornton and Arthur Andersen. As a service line leader, he was responsible for business development, service delivery, staffing, budgeting and profitability. In addition, Ring has several years of executive experience in private industry.
A graduate of Western Michigan University, Ring is a certified public accountant, certified fraud examiner, past president of the Institute of Internal Auditors’ Detroit Chapter and past IIA district representative for the Michigan and Northern Indiana chapters.
