As one of the nation's largest undergraduate business programs, Western offers you a variety of majors and minors to choose from in pursuing your educational goals. Marketing students can select from 5 different majors--Marketing (general), Advertising & Promotion, Food Marketing, Sales and Business Marketing, or Integrated Supply Management.
At WMU, over 90% of all marketing classes are taught by full-time faculty, not by teaching assistants. The faculty bring many years of practical experience into the classroom and maintain close industry ties through their active participation in applied research and consulting. Many of our marketing and business faculty have received awards for teaching excellence.
You won't be treated like just another number at Western. Every marketing major and minor is assigned a full-time marketing faculty member to serve as his or her academic advisor. Marketing faculty schedule several office hours a week to make themselves readily available to students for advising, career counseling, and classroom assistance.
We encourage our students to apply what they learn in the classroom by seeking valuable paid internship experience with a large variety of firms located all across Michigan and elsewhere.
