
The second presentation of the Keystone Community Breakfast Series will feature Mr. Frank Weichlein, Director of the Kalamazoo County Juvenile Home. Weichlein's presentation, "Our Community's Kids, A Juvenile Justice Perspective-Present and Future," will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, October 27. in the Dean's Conference Room (2150 Schneider Hall). Complimentary breakfast will be available.
Mr. Weichlein is responsible for coordinating educational services for youth offenders placed in the Juvenile Home by the Circuit Court-Family Division. He oversees programs through coordination with numerous service providers and community partners.
Mr. Weichlein is a long time resident of Kalamazoo and has served on several committees, including the Kalamazoo County Hay Evaluation Committee, and the Mutual Concerns of School Aged Children From 1999 until 2005, Weichlein served as president of the Michigan Association of Youth Serving Programs. He is currently a committee member on the Dispute Resolution Services of Gryphon Place, Better Tomorrows of Kalamazoo County, and the Michigan Council on Crime and Delinquency.
