John Crandle graduated from Western Michigan University in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and continued on to get his MBA in 1993. He began in the banking industry as a teller with First of America Bank and went on to hold a variety of positions, including commercial credit analyst and commercial loan officer. In 1999, Crandle narrowed his focus as a greater Kalamazoo community banker at Keystone Community Bank. In 2010, Crandle helped to bring Horizon Bank to Kalamazoo and currently serves as vice president and senior commercial lender for the bank. He is also the president of Portage Rotary Club and the Southwest Michigan High School Hockey League board of directors, along with numerous other volunteer positions. Crandle and his wife, Kristen, have three children: Austin, Madeline and Mallory.
