China
The Doing Business in China Seminar and Study Tour is designed to be an international experience for undergraduate students studying majoring in business, economics, Asian study or foreign language and MBA students. The program is offered in cooperation with Shanghai Jiao Tung University and Beijing Jiao Tung University. The program includes seminars on business in China and U.S.-China relations, corporate visits, cultural tours and sightseeing. Partial funding is provided by the U.S. Department of Education through an international business education grant.
The Chinese Language and Culture Tour is designed to provide a total immersion experience for both undergraduate and graduate students in contemporary China. Participants study at the prestigious Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) and visit Beijing and the surrounding area for two weeks. Some of the cultural tours include travel to Confucius' hometown, Tai Mountain, Nanjing and Suzhou. This study tour will provide students insight into Chinese society, tradition and lifestyle, and offers many opportunities to explore China, strengthen language skills and deepen their understanding of Chinese culture. The course will be taught in English. The program is open to all majors and minors without prerequisite.
