Internships

The FCL Department has assisted majors in gaining credit for approved student internships. The following is a list of requirements that must be met and a list of companies where students served as interns in recent years.

Requirements

To be approved, an internship must:

• Be with a firm recognized in the specialty area of that specific internship
• Expose the student to a variety of tasks or projects
• Be approved and monitored by a faculty advisor
• Last for the equivalent of one full semester
• Require a minimum of 5 hours/week for each credit hour earned
