Abigal Winters is a senior at Western Michigan University studying Public Relations, Event Management, and Textile and Apparel Merchandising. She is also the current chapter president of Alpha Phi Fraternity, a member of Order Of Omega Honor Society, and The Public Relations Organization. Abigal is very excited to join the Bronco Bash/ Homecoming student coordinator team. Go Broncos!

Anna Oswalt

Anna Oswalt is a proud bronco senior majoring in Public Relations and quadruple minoring in Event Management, Graphic Printing Science, Nonprofit Leadership, and Spanish. Her hometown is Athens, MI, 11 miles south of Battle Creek. She has worked in the maintenance department for three years, working on completing the Leaders in Action Certificate for the past two years, and she has been a part of Nonprofit Leadership Student Association for a year and she now serves as their Public Relations Committee Chair. She has internship and volunteer experience in the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek area working with the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan, March of Dimes, Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi, Battle Creek Community Foundation, and Your Turn. She is thrilled at the opportunity to be a coordinator for Bronco Bash and Homecoming and she will work hard to make this an amazing experience for everyone! As always, it’s a great day to be a bronco!!!

Alex George

Alex is a senior from Allegan Michigan who is majoring in Secondary Education and Social Studies with a minor in History. He is heavily involved in the WMU Marching Band, serving as both mellophone drill instructor and publicity chair. In addition, he is the president of the national honorary music fraternity, Kappa Kappa Psi. In 2013, Alex was an Orientation Student Leader and has since been more involved in student affairs and programing. In his spare time he likes to read novels (loves Stephen King), play piano and watch movies. In terms of Bronco Bash and Homecoming, he says he hopes to help create events that are more inclusive to all students and promote a larger sense of campus unity.

Nicole Haase

Nicole Haase is a senior at WMU studying Organizational Communication with a minor in Human Communication Disorders. Nicole has had many experiences planning events for WMU through her involvement with the Campus Activities Board and is excited to serve on the coordinating team for Bronco Bash and Homecoming! Nicole is SUPER PUMPED to show her Bronco pride and encourage other students to show theirs as well by participating in two of the largest events that campus has to offer!

Cody Potter

Cody Potter is a senior this year majoring in Computer Science. He started his involvement at Western by becoming part of the climbing wall staff at the Student Recreation Center. From there he became a Facility Manager and the Student Marketing Coordinator of University Recreation. He has also been a Fall Welcome Ambassador and First-Year Seminar Student Instructor. Currently he is a LeadCorp Intern, the Web Manager at SALP, and the IT coordinator of WSA. He is very excited to continue his involvement at WMU by being a Bronco Bash and Homecoming Student Coordinator this year!

Matthew Bracey

Matthew Bracey is a senior with a double major in Engineering Design Technology and Communications. This previous year he has been involved in Fall Welcome, CAB, LSA, YBM, NSBE, as well as a senator in WSA. He has also sat on the Diversity and Leadership Institute Committee and currently sits on the General Education Committee. Bracey currently works for the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, the Student Affairs chair for WSA, and is one of the Bronco Bash and Homecoming Coordinators. Overall he really likes staying involved on campus and being a part of something that's bigger than himself.

Emily Briggs

Emily is originally from Muskegon, MI and a recent addition to the Student Activities and Leadership Programs (SALP) office. She attended Olivet College for her undergraduate career and finished with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Fitness Management. She will begin her Masters Program in Summer II of 2014 at Western Michigan University, pursuing a degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs (HESA). Prior to this experience, Emily worked as a program director for a local YMCA which aided in her decision to work with young adults in the college setting. In her spare time, Emily enjoys playing disc golf and staying active outdoors. She is excited to be acting as an advisor for the hard working and diverse Bronco Bash/Homecoming Coordinator team as well as advising the Campus Activities Board at WMU. Go Broncos!

Sarah Hurd

SALP Assistant Director

Sarah is the Assistant Director of Campus Programming and Registered Student Organization Development in the Student Activities & Leadership Programs office. In her role, she oversees Bronco Bash, Homecoming, the Campus Activities Board, as well as Registered Student Organizations. Sarah is a two-time alum of WMU and loves working for her alma mater! Sarah has been planning events since her undergraduate days as an involved student leader, as well as during her time as a corporate event planner for a hospitality company in Chicago. However, she claims nothing is better than working with students to plan a few of WMU's largest events! Sarah is looking forward to seeing what this team of student coordinators will do to make this the biggest and best Bronco Bash yet!
