Women in Aviation is a non-profit organization consisting of over 7,000 men and women from all over the world. WIA promotes the accomplishments of women in the aviation field, including such figures as Bessie Coleman and Amelia Earhart. WAI encourages women in all aviation fields, and includes corporate pilots, maintenance technicians, and university students as just a few of its elite members.

Previous activities include attending the WAI Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio, visiting Lansing Flight Service, holding Girl Scout camps at the Battle Creek Kellogg Airport, selling lunches at the airport, and many others.
The WMU Women in Aviation chapter currently has 32 members, meeting every other Sunday at 6:00 PM in the Berhnard Center Faculty Room or at a member's house. Please email us if you would like more information about the WMU Chapter of Women in Aviation.
